Click through for the answer, plus British woman fined 16,000 pounds for file sharing, and PS3 guitars in complete harmony

If you thought Crysis was expensive to play - 27 quid for the game, two grand for a PC good enough to run it - wait until you hear how much it cost to make. Cevat Yerli, president of Crytek told the Games Convention Developers Conference in Leipzig that the mass polygon moving FPS clocked in at 12 million pounds.

'If it wasn't profitable I wouldn't be able to stand here,' he smiled.

Not only that, reports are that it made a healthy profit for EA - even though it's sat at the top of the bit torrent lists ever since. The Crysis spin-off Warhead is due to top up the profits in the middle of next month, so here's some screenshots to get excited about.

On the subject of money and videogames, a British woman has been ordered to pay a fine of 16,000(GBP) to Topware after downloading Dream Pinball. The fine was made up of 6,000 quid damages and 10 grand in costs. According to trade paper MVC, the company is ready to launch another 100 proceedings against file sharers. Imagine the profit margin on Crysis is Crytek followed their lead. This could keep the courts busy.

Meanwhile, Sony has revealed that all PS3 musical peripherals will be compatible. That means that guitars for Guitar Hero will work on Rock Band.

'For the past several months, we have been working closely with Neversoft and Activision, Harmonix, and Konami to ensure that PlayStation 3 guitars and drum sets will all feature a basic level of gameplay compatibility,' says Michael Shorrock SCEA director of publisher relations via Sony's PlayStation Blog. 'For the most part, this means that the titles with musical peripherals will work with the other's software.'

Shorrock explained that the guitar and drum-kit peripherals from World Tour, Rock Band 2, and Rock Revolution will all be interchangeable. while World Tour and Rock Band 2 microphones will be compatible SingStar.
